Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how KDAxiom ("we", "us"), the operator of VanshVriksham, collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the VanshVriksham website or mobile application (together, the "Services").

Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect: account details such as your name, email address, optional phone number, password (stored as a salted hash), and religion, caste or gotra information you choose to provide; Google sign-in account identifiers when you use Google Sign-In; family-tree information you enter, such as names, family relationships, contact details, address, profession, religion, caste, gotra, gender, birth or passing dates and places, social links and notes; photos, videos, audio and other files you upload to profiles or albums; album names, invitations and sharing choices; messages, feedback, testimonials and support requests you submit; subscription plan, transaction reference and purchase verification information; and basic service information needed to operate your session and remember your language preference.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; provide family-tree, profile, album and sharing features; store and display content according to the permissions and sharing choices in the Services; process support requests and send account, verification and security messages; verify subscriptions and apply plan allowances; prevent misuse, maintain service security and troubleshoot problems; and understand overall website usage through an aggregate page-view counter. The page-view counter records a total count and is not designed to store IP addresses or an individual's browsing history.

Family information and visibility

You control the information you submit about relatives. Add or upload information only when you have a proper reason and permission to do so. Family-tree profiles may be visible to signed-in users to support the shared tree experience, subject to the access controls available in the Services. Private albums are available to their owner and people the owner invites. Information you intentionally publish, such as an approved testimonial, may be visible publicly.

Photos, media and storage

Files you upload are processed and stored so the Services can display, share or let you download them. We use hosting, database and media-storage providers to operate the Services. Do not upload material you do not have the right to share. You can remove content using available product controls; this will not remove copies other users have separately saved.

Payments and subscriptions

Google Play processes payment credentials for purchases made through Google Play. We receive information such as product identifiers, purchase tokens or transaction references, and subscription status as needed to verify a purchase and provide the related plan. For payment methods handled outside Google Play, we may store the plan, amount, payment date and reference you submit to review or manage the request. We do not receive your full payment-card number through Google Play Billing.

Service providers and sharing

We share information only as needed to provide the Services, fulfil your sharing choices, or meet legal and security obligations. This may include Google Sign-In and Google Play, phone verification through MSG91 where enabled, email delivery providers, and providers that host the website, backend, database and uploaded media. People you invite to an album or grant access to content can see the information covered by that invitation or permission. Service providers process information to provide their services to us and may also be subject to their own privacy terms. We do not sell personal or sensitive user information. Links or advertisements may lead to third-party websites whose privacy practices we do not control.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses essential session mechanisms to keep you signed in and local storage to remember your language preference. The mobile application stores authentication credentials in the device's secure storage where supported. These mechanisms are used to provide core features, not to build an advertising profile.

Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the Services, including hashed passwords, access controls and protected transmission where HTTPS is enabled. No internet service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your sign-in credentials private and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Retention and your choices

We keep account information and content while needed to provide the Services and for legitimate operational, security, dispute-resolution or legal purposes. You may update profile details and remove content through available account controls. To request access, correction or deletion of personal information, email us from the address associated with your account and identify the account and request. We may verify your identity before acting. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and transaction records; we will explain any applicable exception when responding.

Children's information

The Services are intended for family history and may contain information about relatives of different ages. Accounts should be managed by people authorized to do so. If you believe a child has provided account information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Services or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date above. Please review it periodically.
